Afghanistan to tour Bangladesh for ODI series

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed that it will be hosting Afghanistan for a three-match One-Day International series next month.
The three ODIs will be played on 25th and 28th September and 1st October, with the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur serving as the venue for all the games.
This will be the second bilateral ODI series for Afghanistan against a full member nation after having previously played Zimbabwe on three occasions.
The chairman of the Afghanistan Cricket Board Nasimullah Danish is looking forward to the series against Bangladesh and added that the board is looking for more such campaigns against full member nations.
“We are looking forward [to] entertaining cricket,” he said.
“We are in close discussion with ICC Full Members.
“It’s always good for our team development to test ourselves in different conditions, and there’s no better place than Bangladesh to do that.”
Afghanistan have previously played two ODIs against Bangladesh, winning the contest in the 2014 Asia Cup and losing the match in the 2015 Cricket World Cup.
