Small businesses and sports clubs are now regularly targeted by cyber criminals – according to the National Cyber Security Alliance, 50% of small organisations have experienced a cyber attack, and the attacks can be so severe as to drive organisations out of business 6 months later!

 It should be a concern for clubs.

 Without the Central server and e mail that most commercial operations have, there is no guarantee that Anti Virus protections are up to date, nor that the latest operating systems are in use.

Criminals thrive when basic cyber security is lax!

Many clubs still have their officers conducting club business via their own personal e mail accounts, elevating the risk of hacking.

What happens if your Chaiman’s e mail account is hacked, and your treasurer suddenly gets a request to pay an invoice using a false bank account?

It happened to one of our clubs, who thought that they were paying the local golf Club for their awards night, but instead yet they were paying away over £ 3,500 to criminals.
