3-match T20 International Series between India and Sri Lanka featuring disabled cricketers to start from tomorrow.

Three-match T20 International Cricket Match Series between India and Sri Lanka featuring disabled cricketers will kick start from February 23, 2023 at Chennai's Ramachandra University Cricket Ground. Upon their arrival, Ghazal Khan, CEO of Divyang Cricket Control Board of India felicitated Vimal Kumar, Chairperson of Sri Lanka Cricket Board for Physically Challenged, and the players on February 22 (Wednesday).

The bilateral contest between the neighbours was finalised in 2020, but due to COVID pandemic the scheduled series was postponed. Sri Lankan skipper Sunny looked delighted on his arrival and claimed that his team will be looking forward to giving tough competition to the host.

Ahead of the series opener, Sachin Shiva, captain of Indian Cricket Team (Disability Cricket) said that Indian team has a good blend of experience and youngsters. “Experienced players like Sayed Shah Aziz, Kailash Prasad, Suvro Jordar, Aakib Malik and Sheel Prakash will bring a lot of experience while the young brigade comprising Rajesh, Shaukat Ali and Mukamil will balance the side,” Shiva added.

Team India will be looking forward to extending their winning stats in T20 internationals as Men in Blue has so far played 106 T20 internationals and won 90 games.
