New Zealand in India, which will be played between New Zealand and Afghanistan on 9th of September at the Greater Noida Sports Complex Groundz, Greater Noida, India.

One Off Test Match- New Zealand vs Afghanistan (Greater Noida Sports Complex Groundz, Greater Noida, India)

Current Test Cricket Form New Zealand:

New Zealand are currently placed at the 5th position on ICC Men's Test Team Rankings with a rating of 96.

New Zealand recently played Test cricket against their Trans-Tasman rivals Australia in March. New Zealand were beaten all ends up as Australia claimed the 2 match series by 2-0. Prior to that, New Zealand had beaten South Africa in a 2 match Test Series by 2-0.

New Zealand will have to shrug off all the dust due to the fact that they haven't played red ball cricket since March. Their World Cup campaign wasn't impressive either and it would be fresh on their minds. However, given the talent and skills they possess as a team, New Zealand are likely to register an easy victory against Afghanistan.

Players to look out for:

1. Kane Williamson
- One of the best batters in Test cricket, Kane Williamson is expected to score big against an inexperienced Afghanistan attack. He will play an important role for New Zealand not just in the upcoming match against Afghanistan but throughout the next months while Kiwis play in the sub continent.

2. Mitchell Santner - He is an experienced left arm spinner who can provide breakthroughs when his team needs the most. Santner is expected to be New Zealand's best bowler in the One off Test, given the turning conditions on Indian pitches.

Current Test Cricket Form Afghanistan:

Afghanistan are currently placed at the bottom most position on ICC Men's Test Team Rankings with no rating so far.

Afghanistan recently played a Test match in February this year against Ireland in the UAE. Afghanistan were humbled by Ireland in the game as they lost it by 6 wickets. Prior to that, Afghanistan had played Test series against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, and they lost both of them.

Afghanistan aren't in the best of form in red ball cricket. However, their performance on Indian soil in the past cannot be ignored (in white ball cricket). Afghanistan will feel like cornered tigers, who aren't the favorites going into the match but they can certainly give New Zealand a tough time in the days ahead.

Players to look out for:

1. Ikram Alikhil
- He is a supremely talented wicket keeper batter who has been in phenomenal form. Alikhil can play both pace and spin very well and is expected to shine bright in the Indian conditions.

2. Qais Ahmad - He is a wily leg spinner who has plenty of variations in his bowling. Ahmad is expected to be the best bowler for Afghanistan in the upcoming match.
