Afghanistan vs Bangladesh in UAE 2024 - Teams, Player Squads, Fixtures, Schedule and All you need to know

Bangladesh are touring UAE to participate in a 3 Match ODI Series against Afghanistan, beginning from the 6th of November. The 3rd and the Final ODI of the series will be played on the 11th of November, 2024.

Sharjah Cricket Stadium will be hosting all of the matches.

Afghanistan will be led by the experienced Hashmatullah Shahidi. They have named a very strong squad for the ODI series, including the likes of Rashid Khan, Allah Ghazanfar, Noor Ahmad, Azmatullah Omarzai and the young sensation Sediqullah Atal. Both Allah Ghazanfar and Sediqullah Atal have performed superbly in the last year or so and have rightfully earned thier position in the National team.

Afghanistan are in superb form in ODI cricket. They last faced South Africa in a 3 match ODI Series in September this year, which they claimed by 2-1.

Bangladesh on the other hand will be led by Najmul Hossain Shanto. They have included the experienced Soumya Sarkar and Mushfiqur Rahim in the squad. Bangladesh will also be handing out debut caps to Nahid Rana and wicketkeeper Jaker Ali. With players like Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Towhid Hridoy, Mustafizur Rahman and Tanzid Hasan, Bangladesh are looking a very strong unit ahead of the ODI Series.

Bangladesh haven't tasted a lot of success lately. They have recently lost a 2 match Test Series against India by 2-0 and a 3 match T20I Series by 3-0. They also lost to South Africa in a 2 match Test Series by 2-0 only recently.
