Umar Akmal and Younus Khan have been handed recalls to Pakistan's squads to take on Sri Lanka in August.

Akmal is back in the Test squad while the vastly experienced Younus is recalled to the One-Day International squad.

From the squad that took on Sri Lanka in the United Arab Emirates earlier this year in a series that went right down to the wire, Mohammad Hafeez has been dropped while Adnan Akmal and Umar Gul, who both left the squad due to injury, remain out of contention.

The ODI line-up shows a number of changes, however. Abdur Rehman, Bilawal Bhatti, Haris Sohail and Sohail Tanvir are all left out as Fawad Alam, Wahab Riaz, Younus and Akmal come back into the squad.

Younus, who made his ODI debut in 2000, last played an ODI in March 2013 against South Africa.

Pakistan play two Tests and three ODIs in Sri Lanka. The Tests, in Galle and Colombo, begin on 6th and 14th August respectively before Hambantota, Colombo and Dambulla host the ODIs between 23rd and 30th August.

Pakistan Test squad: Misbah-ul-Haq (captain), Abdur Rehman, Ahmed Shehzad, Asad Shafiq, Azhar Ali, Junaid Khan, Khurram Manzoor, Mohammad Talha, Rahat Ali, Saeed Ajmal, Sarfraz Ahmed (wicket-keeper), Shan Masood, Umar Akmal, Wahab Riaz, Younus Khan
