And the winner is… Camborne Cricket Club!

Congratulations to Camborne Cricket Club, winner of Aston Lark’s £1,000 coaching equipment prize draw. Entry to the competition closed on Thursday 30th April and Camborne CC was chosen at random from all eligible entries.

Camborne play in the Cornwall Premier Division, running three Saturday teams in County 1, Div. 3 West and Div. 6 West, as well as having an active junior section with teams for U15's, U13's, U11's and U9's, and the very popular All Stars Cricket for 5-8 year olds. Bernard Smith, the club treasurer was excited about the big news, “This will mean that when we eventually reopen, we can ensure that all the equipment will be in place to continue with our coaching programmes,” he said.

After the winner was confirmed, Colin Mico, Aston Lark’s Cricket Scheme Account Handler said: “We were pleased to get responses from over 140 clubs, and we look forward to an even greater response from future similar competitions”. He went on further to say: “We are hoping this is a lovely surprise and a bit of good news in showing our support for recreational cricket at this uncertain time.”
