Australia Tour of England 2024 - Squads, Fixtures and All you need to know

Australia are touring England to take part in a 3 match T20I series and a 5 match ODI series, beginning on the 11th of September. The ODI series will be played after the completion of 3 T20I's.

The Final ODI match of the tour will be played on the 29th of September, 2024.

It will be Brendon McCullum's first assignment as England's white ball cricket coach. Given his achievements as a coach in Test cricket, England will look to absorb the confidence that runs through his veins and perform to their potential.

England will be playing without their white ball skipper Jos Buttler in the T20I series. There is no update yet about his participation in the ODI as it depends on his recovery. Phil Salt has been handed over the captaincy for the T20I series. It will be his first job as a captain in the short format and he will look to fully utilize this opportunity.

England have included Jacob Bethell, Josh Hull, Dan Mousley and John Turner for the T20I series. Their selection is owed majorly to their breakthrough performances in The Hundred Men's. Liam Livingstone has also kept his place in the side despite poor showings in the last 1 year. The experienced Jofra Archer will play an important role for England in the upcoming matches.

Australia on the other hand will be led by Mitchell Marsh, whose team has recently white washed Scotland in their home conditions. Cooper Connolly has also been added to the T20I squad. Most of the Australian players looked in fine touch against Scotland and they will be fielding a similar side against England as well.

With power hitters like Travis Head, Jake Fraser McGurk, Mitchell Marsh, Tim David and exceptional bowlers like Adam Zampa, Xavier Bartlett and Sean Abbott; Australia will certainly start as favorites going into the white ball tour of England.

Considering the strength of both squads, the upcoming Test Match promises to be a highly entertaining encounter.
