Australia Women Tour of New Zealand 2024 - Teams, Player Squads, Fixtures, Schedule and All you need to know

Australia Women are touring New Zealand to participate in a 3 match ODI Series, commencing on the 19th of December in Wellington. The 3rd and the Final ODI of the Tour will be played on the 23rd of December, 2024.

All of the matches are scheduled to be played at the Basin Reserve in Wellington.

New Zealand Women are led by their regular skipper Sophie Devine. They have included the young Bella James into the squad on the back of some good performances in domestic circuit.

The New Zealand Women's team selector Sarah Tsukigawa was all praise for Bella James. Sarah said of Bella, "She’s been working hard at the domestic level for many years, and her current form in HBJ shows why she deserves this opportunity. Bella’s ability to hit 360 degrees around the ground with power is a valuable quality".

Rosemary Mair has made it into the squad but Lea Tahuhu will be missing out due to hamstring injury. The squad also has talented players like Melie Kerr and Jess Kerr.

Australia Women on the other hand are led by Alyssa Healy. She has returned to the national side after an injury layover. They have named a star studded unit including the likes of Ashleigh Gardner, Beth Mooney, Megan Schutt and Annabel Sutherland.

Australia Women will certainly start as favorites for the ODI Series, given their past record against their Trans Tasman Rivals.
