Bangladesh Tour of USA 2024- All you need to know

Bangladesh are touring USA to participate in a 3 match T20I series before the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. Both teams have never faced each in a T20I game. It will be a great opportunity for the visitors to get a feel of the ground conditions in the USA before the mega event.

The first T20I match will be played on the 21st of May, while the 3rd and Final T20I is scheduled for 25th of May.

All of the matches will be played at the Praire View Cricket Complex, Houston.

Bangladesh will be playing without their experienced fast bowler Taskin Ahmed, who injured himself in the T20I's against Zimbabwe. He will be replaced by Hasan Mahmud in the squad.

USA squad looks strong for this series as well as the World Cup. The addition of stars like Corey Anderson and Andries Gous has only added to the fire power in their team.

USA are a team that cannot be discounted in their home conditions. They are capable of springing out a surprise or two against the Sub Continent visitors.

Both Bangladesh and USA Cricket Boards are welcoming the move to play a few T20I's to be played before the World Cup.

According to Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, CEO of Bangladesh Cricket Board, "For the Bangladesh Team, this tour serves as an ideal platform to acclimatise to the conditions ahead of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024".

He added, "We recognise the significance of this preparatory phase and are committed to making the most of this invaluable experience."

Chairman of USA Cricket, Venu Pisike was also excited of the T20I matches to be played before World Cup. He said, "Ahead of the important Men's T20 World Cup, these games will be vital for our team to get their working combinations, build team cohesion, and fine-tune strategies."

Considering the strength of both the sides in both batting and bowling department, the series promises to be a fiercely fought contest between both the sides.
