Current ODI Form England:

England have recently emerged victorious in a 4 match ODI series against New Zealand by 3-1. After losing the first match, England bounced back authoritatively and trumped New Zealand in the last 3 games.

Most of the players who had been silent in terms of run scoring have come good in the New Zealand series like Dawid Malan and Liam Livingstone. David Willey and Reece Topley have also shown great character with the ball and they form a brilliant duo with the new ball.

England will however be playing their second string squad for the ODI's against Ireland. They have named Zak Crawley as skipper, while Harry Brook, Will Jacks and Ben Duckett will constitute the batting top order. 2. Harry Brook - He has another chance to prove his significance in the England's World Cup squad, after an ordinary performance against New Zealand in the ODI series.

Ireland have been in an ordinary form lately. They were defeated in a 3 match T20I series against India by 2-0 recently. They performed well in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Europe Qualifiers though, where they won all 4 games.

In the ODI format, Ireland are performing well. In the ICC Men's World Cup Qualifiers, they lost against Sri Lanka and Netherlands but won all the rest of the games in the competition.

Paul Stirling is the skipper for the 3 match ODI series against England. Ireland are fielding a full strength squad and they can be a dangerous side when 2-3 of their players click on a single day.

1. Paul Stirling - His record against England in ODI's has always been good. Stirling has plenty of experience playing on English pitches in the T20 Blast matches. If he gets going, English bowlers will find it hard to contain Ireland.

2. Barry McCarthy - He has been performing quite consistently in the last one year or so. Barry McCarthy can provide early breakthroughs for his team. He will spearhead the Irish bowling attack against England in the upcoming matches.
