Balochistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. Akif Javed and Khurram Shahzad wreaked havoc in the top order of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and picked up the important early wickets. Mohammad Haris and Asif Afridi tried to fight against the bowler’s momentum in their partnership of 102 runs for the 7th wicket. Haris made a valuable contribution of 75 in 71 balls while Afridi contributed 57 runs in the cause. Once both these batters were dismissed, there was no much resistance by the tailenders and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were bowled out for 183 in the 41st over of their innings.

Khurram Shahzad and Amad Butt picked up 3 wickets for Balochistan.

Chasing 183, Balochistan lost Haseebullah early on in the innings. He was dismissed for 1 by Sameen Gul. Abdul Bangalzai too was run out at 16. Just when Balochistan looked under pressure, Imran Butt and Asad Shafiq delivered and stitched an unbeaten match winning partnership of 159 runs for the 3rd wicket to win the match for Balochistan by 8 wickets with 14 overs remaining.
