Cricket World Live from Pallekele - Third Test Preview
Chetan Narula is reporting live from Pallekele for Cricket World TV to give us an insight on what to expect in the third Test between India and Sri Lanka that kicks-off on Saturday.
With wins in Galle and Colombo, India have already sealed the series 2-0 and Chetan believes this is a perfect opportunity for India to register their first ever series whitewash (involving more than two games) in overseas soil.
Sri Lanka's top two wicket-takers in this series - Nuwan Pradeep and Rangana Herath - will not be playing the game due to injuries and the selectors have opted for Dushmantha Chameera and Lahiru Gamage to replace them.
Chetan also added that the grass on the pitch at Pallekele International Stadium has been laid off and it looks to offer plenty for the batsmen.
Chetan also expects few changes in bowling line-up for India with the likes of Ishant Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav waiting in the ranks and Ravindra Jadeja's suspension for a misconduct in the Colombo Test will be a relief to Sri Lanka as they bid to avoid a series whitewash.
