Despite losing a close fought battle, Jayden Seales was exceptional for West Indies, leaving with the accolade  of best Test bowling figures in an innings by a West Indian at Guyana National Stadium.

West Indies' bowlers pulled back the scoring rate deeper into the afternoon session and it was Jayden Seales who eventually separated the pair after they had put on 79 when de Zorzi (39) feathered a catch to wicketkeeper Joshua da Silva.

Their discipline brought greater rewards at the start of the final session as South Africa lost four wickets for 19 runs to be in trouble at 139 for five, a slide triggered by Gudakesh Motie's dismissal of Markram for 51 (108 balls, six fours).

Seales (3 for 52) and left-arm orthodox spinner Motie (2 for 61) led the Caribbean side's fightback and the West Indies sensed the chance to dismiss South Africa before the end of the day.

On Day 3, Windies were set a challenging target of 263 after fast bowler Jayden Seales' Test-best figures of six for 61 dismissed the Proteas for 246 in their second innings in the morning session, the home team lost wickets at regular intervals to be dismissed for 222.

In a cruel twist of fate, Seales was the last wicket to fall just minutes before the scheduled close of play. He fell to man of the series Keshav Maharaj who claimed his 13th wicket of the two-match duel via a short-leg catch by David Bedingham.

After that it was the Seales show as he ripped through the lower-order to claim the second five-wicket innings haul of his fledgling Test career.
