Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Rivaldo Moonsamy played really well at the top of the order and scored 24 and 29 runs respectively. The middle order couldn't really maintain the momentum. However, Andile Phehlukwayo played a timely cameo of 39 runs in 16 balls to help Titans get to a tall total of 182 in 20 overs of play.

During the chase, Western Province lost 3 early wickets and looked to be in deep waters. Gerald Coetzee bowled exceptionally well, picked up 2 wickets for just 14 runs in his spell of 4 overs and broke the back of the run chase. Edward Moore tried his best to bring life into the game with a knock of 48 runs but he failed to win the match for Western Province as they fell short by 19 runs in the end.

In the First Qualifier Match, Titans batted first and they were bowled out for a small total of 115. Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Rivaldo Moonsamy got out cheaply. Dayyan Galiem played well and scored 44 runs but the batters around him couldn't infuse any momentum into the innings and also threw their wicket away when it mattered the most. Titans were eventually bowled out for 115.

During the chase, Lions lost Zubayr Hamza early on in the innings. After his dismissal, Reeza Hendricks and Rassie van der Dussen took the responsibility of taking Lions over the line. They scored 61 and 40 runs respectively and won the match for their team in the 16th over with 7 wickets in hand.
