Danish Kaneria Set For Essex Return

Pakistani leg-spinner Danish Kaneria is due to arrive in England this week and is expected to make his first start for Essex in their LV County Championship match against Kent which begins on Wednesday.
28-year-old Kaneria will begin his fifth season with the Chelmsford based county having been unable to play from the start of this year due to visa problems. This has now been resolved and he arrives in the UK tomorrow (28th April).
“We are thrilled that Danish will be joining us for another season," Essex captain Mark Pettini told the club's official website (www.essexcricket.org.uk).
"He is a fantastic player and a great addition to the team. We very much look forward to welcoming him back."
Kaneria himself added: “I am really looking forward to coming over to England and specifically to Chelmsford. Now we are under way I am really excited about the season in prospect. 2008 was a fantastic year for Essex Cricket and 2009 promises just as much excitement. The Essex fans are very kind and welcoming to me and my family. Essex has enjoyed a good start to the season and I am keen to get back with the squad."
Kaneria will have squad number 15.
