England selectors have picked an unchanged 13-man squad for the fourth Test against Pakistan, which will be played at The Oval in London between 11th and 15th August.

England suffered an injury scare in the third Test when James Vince suffered a blow to the ring finger of his left hand while trying to take a catch in the slip cordon on the final day.

According to a report on ESPNcricinfo, Vince also needed a stitch to repair a tear in his webbing between his fingers.

However, scans conducted on Vince’s ring finger showed no fracture and therefore, the selectors decided to retain him in the squad for the fourth Test.

Vince has so far played six Tests for England and is yet to register a score of fifty or more and he has only managed 157 runs from five innings in the ongoing series against Pakistan at an average of 31.40.

After having already secured an unassailable 2-1 lead in the ongoing series with a 141-run win in the third Test at Edgbaston, a draw in the fourth match will be sufficient for England to claim the series.

England Squad for Fourth Test:

Alastair Cook (capt), Alex Hales, Joe Root, James Vince, Garry Ballance, Jonny Bairstow, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Stuart Broad, Steven Finn, James Anderson, Jake Ball, Adil Rashid
