England got off to a superlative start after opting to bat first. Dan Lawrence (59) and Max Holden (51) put on a solid 91-run opening stand in 19.1 overs.

After Lawrence fell, Jack Burnham (106 not out) joined with Holden to put on 73-runs for the second wicket.

With a run-a-ball hundred from Burnham and handy cameos from Aneurin Donald (25) and Sam Curran (32 not out), England managed to post 288 for four in 50 overs.

Zimbabwe struggled early in their chase and were reduced to 49 for four in 16.4 overs. Jeremy Ives (91) launched a lone battle as he lost partners at regular intervals.

Ives brought up his fifty in 95 balls but Saqib Mahmood (4-39) and Callum Taylor (3-14) shared seven wickets between them to bowl Zimbabwe out for 159 runs in 43.4 overs.

With this 129-run win, England have reached the quarter-finals and consolidated their lead at the top of the table. For his match-winning hundred, Burnham was named as the man of the match.

West Indies 340-7 (Springer 106) beat
Fiji 78 (Pope 4-24) by 262 runs
16th Match, Group C, ICC U-19 World Cup

Having been asked to bat first by Fiji, West Indies raced away to a fantastic start thanks to a 120-run opening stand between Gidron Pope (76) and Tevin Imlach (36).

Between overs 18 and 23, West Indies lost four quick wickets but Shamar Springer (106) and Jyd Goolie (66) added 157 runs for the fifth wicket to take the team close to the 300-run mark.

West Indies eventually posted 340 for seven in their 50 overs. Cakacaka Tikoisuva (6-59) was the pick of the bowlers for Fiji.

Right from the start, Fiji were in no position to put up a challenge as they lost regular wickets and were reduced to 32 for five in 14.1 overs.

Following up his fifty with the bat, Pope (4-24) took four wickets while Alzarri Joseph (3-15) and Kirstan Kallicharan (2-21) shared five wickets between them to bowl Fiji out for just 78 runs.

With a 262-run victory West Indies remain alive in the tournament and will battle it out with Zimbabwe for the quarter-final berth. Pope was picked as the man of the match for his all-round efforts.
