The Green Afghanistan One Day Cup 2023 will be played from 29th April to 17th May, 2023 with four teams taking part.

The second edition of the tournament will take place at the Khost Cricket Stadium. The Afghanistan Cricket Board is organising the tournament to help the young Afghan cricketers rise to the top.

The four teams participating in the season 2 of the Green Afghanistan One Day Cup 2023 are Hindukush Strikers, Pamir Legends, Maiwand Defenders, and Junior Champions.

This 19-day tournament will be played in the 50-over format, in line with the upcoming ODI World Cup scheduled to be played in India this year.

13 matches will be played in the competition with each team squaring off twice against the others in a round-robin format. The top two sides will lock horns in the final.

Some big names in Afghanistan cricket like Najibullah Zadran, Afsar Zazai, Ibrahim Zadran, Ihsanullah Janat, Usman Ghani, Rahmat Shah, Mohammad Shahzad, Hazratullah Zazai, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Ikram Alikhil and Noor Ali Zadran are also taking part in the competition.
