I want to carry on for as long as I can - Brad Hogg

Former Australian spinner, Brad Hogg, who is currently playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) expressed that he wants to carry on playing cricket for as long as he can.
Hogg, who made his international debut for Australia in 1996, retired from the game in 2008 but after a strong showing in the Big Bash League, he made a Twenty20 International return in 2012.
The 45-year-old has since continued playing in various T20 leagues around the world and in the first game of the 2016 IPL, he took three wickets for 19 runs against the Delhi Daredevils.
Stating that he is currently enjoying the game, Hogg is happy that his physical fitness is still helping him play the game without any injury troubles.
“I’m coming close to the other end of my life, so I got to enjoy as much,” Hogg told the IPL website.
“I’ve really enjoyed it. The game of cricket has given me so much.
“Hopefully, when my career does finish, I can give a lot back.
“I’m very lucky that physically I can do it.
“It’s nice to wake up in the morning and find I’m not sore.
“I’m very fortunate to be here.
“I think the secret is you got to be healthy, that’s the number one thing in life.”
Revealing that he missed the game after retiring from international cricket in 2008, Hogg now wants to carry on playing the game as long as possible.
“I just want to go on as long as I can.
“I retired in 2008, was out of the game for three years, didn’t pick up a bat or ball for a while.
“Then when I came back, I realised how much I missed it.”
From 121 games in the shortest format of the game, Hogg has 124 wickets at an average of 23.22 including five four-wicket hauls.
