Josh Philippe building on breakout BBL campaign
Young gun and breakout BBL star Josh Philippe is learning all he can on his first Australian tour, with more potentially in store for one of the rising stars of Australian cricket.
Philippe has been rewarded for his stunning KFC BBL|09 form with a spot in the men’s squad for the tour of the UK, adding his wicket keeping as another option.
The 23-year-old made the move to play with the Sydney Sixers two seasons ago and went on to become a smash hit, including being named player of the final in February.
Australia is in the final preparation for the three Vitality IT20 games against England starting on Friday at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.
The squad plays two T20 intra-squad games today leading into the series opener, to be followed by the three-match Royal London ODI Series in Manchester.
