Mahmudullah ruled out of India series

Bangladesh all-rounder Mohammad Mahmudullah has been ruled out of his side's upcoming home series against India which starts next week following a finger injury.
Revealing the development, Bangladesh’s team physiotherapist Baizidul Islam stated that the all-rounder will be out of action for four weeks.
"Mahmudullah hurt the index finger on his left hand while attempting a catch during training today," team physiotherapist Baizidul Islam told reporters in Dhaka.
"X-rays revealed a fracture which usually takes three to four weeks to heal."
Bangladesh are yet to name Mahmudullah’s replacement for the home series that comprises a one-off Test and three One-Day Internationals.
Mahmudullah’s injury is the second case of a Bangladeshi player getting injured this week after ODI skipper Mashrafe Mortaza met with a road accident sustaining minor injuries in the process.
However, Mortaza who isn’t a part of the Test squad is expected to be fit in time for the ODI series that begins from 18th June.
The one-off Test between India and Bangladesh begins on 10th June at Fatullah.
