Netherlands Tour of Oman 2024 - Teams, Player Squads, Fixtures, Schedule and All you need to know
Netherlands will be touring Oman to take part in a 3 match T20I Series, commencing on the 13th of November. The 3rd and the Final T20I of the Tour will take place on the 16th of November, 2024.
All of the matches are scheduled to take place at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground (Ministry Turf 1) in Al Amerat.
Netherlands will be led by the experienced Scott Edwards. The Dutch have named a strong squad including the likes of Vikramjit Singh, Max O'Dowd, Colin Ackermann, Wesley Barresi, Roelof van der Merve and Vivian Kingma.
Players like Bas de Leede and Tim Pringle have been rested from the tour while Logan Van Beek has been rendering his services to Wellington Firebirds in the Plunkett Shield tournament in New Zealand.
Netherlands will certainly start as favorites for the T20I series. However, Oman cannot be discounted in their home conditions, especially with the power hitters they possess in their squad.
Oman on the other hand will be led by a new captain Jatinder Singh in absence of their regular skipper Aqib Ilyas. Most of their senior team members aren't taking part in the T20I series. However, talented players like Sandeep Goud, Aamir Kaleem, Mohammad Nadeem, Pratik Athavale and Khalid Kail are part of the Oman's squad for T20I's against Netherlands.
Oman will be missing out on the experience of its senior players and it may act as a differentiator between both the teams.
