Sachin Tendulkar says he has "never believed" in comparisons, after being asked about where he stands in relation to Sir Don Bradman and other great cricketers.

He was challenged at the press launch of his autobiography, Playing It My Way, to comment on Sir Don, but rather than making comparisons, he prefers to look at how players have served the game.

He adds that Sir Don served the game to the best of his ability throughout his career, also mentioning greats such as Sir Garry Sobers, Sir Viv Richards and Sunil Gavaskar.

Tendulkar says he was always conscious of his duty to "look after the game" as eventually every player has to "pass the baton" on to the next generation.

What do you think? Can Sachin be compared with the Don? Or is it futile to try to compare players from different eras?
