Sarah Taylor Signs For Walmley Cricket Club

England international wicket-keeper Sarah Taylor has signed to play for Walmley Cricket Club in Sutton Coldfield ahead of the 2013 season.
The club plan to field Taylor in their senior men's side and the announcement comes soon after she was linked with a role keeping wicket for Sussex's second team.
Sussex have clarified that discussions for Taylor to step in are at a 'very embryonic' stage but playing at Walmley would give her experience of playing a high standard of men's cricket - whether or not anything materialises at Sussex.
"Everyone involved with Walmley Cricket Club Ladies' section are delighted that Sarah has said that she wants to play here," Walmley CC Chairman of Ladies Cricket, Neil Alsop said.
"Aside from the obvious fact that she is a superb cricketer whose presence will undoubtedly be a huge boost to all of our girls, Sarah is a lovely person and has already indicated a desire to help us to further develop women's cricket at Walmley and within the local community."
England international Chris Woakes as well as Under-19 internationals Shozair Ali (England) and Freddie Coleman (Scotland) have all played for Walmley in the past, as has Amy Jones, who will join Taylor in England's World Cup squad in India later this month.
Walmley played in the First Division of the Birmingham & District Premier Cricket League last season, finishing in second place, just three points behind champions Wombourne.
