Sri Lanka emerged victorious in a tightly contested match against Nepal in the Asian Cricket Council Men's Under-19s Asia Cup, securing a 55-run win at Sharjah

Batting first, Sri Lanka posted a competitive total of 233, with Sharujan Shanmuganathan leading the charge with a patient 62 from 99 balls. Lakvin Abeysinghe added a valuable 50 off 53 balls, while Kavija Gamage's unbeaten 37 helped push the total to a challenging figure. Nepal's bowlers, particularly Santosh Yadav (4/45) and Yuvraj Khatri (2/44), fought hard but couldn't restrict Sri Lanka to a lower total.

Chasing 234, Nepal struggled to build partnerships. Mayan Yadav's gritty 62 was the highlight of their innings, but the Sri Lankan bowlers kept taking regular wickets. Praveen Maneesha was the star with the ball, picking up 3 wickets for 30 runs, while Newton Ranjithkumar (2/17) and Kugadas Mathulan (2/21) also played key roles. Nepal was eventually bowled out for 178 in 46.2 overs, falling short by 55 runs.
