Wormelow Cricket Club was formed in 1965 and in 2015, celebrated their 50th anniversary.
The club runs three senior league teams, a friendly senior team and has a thriving junior section.
The club run three senior league teams, the 1st XI and 2nd XI play in the Worcester County League Division 2, the 3rd XI in the Marches League Division 4 and a Sunday XI, who play friendlies to introduce our young players to senior cricket.
Wormelow Cricket Club has a thriving junior section and provides cricket coaching to boys and girls from the age of 6 upwards. At present we have over 120 youngsters registered.
The coaching is carried out by qualified England and Wales Cricket Board coaches - one Level 3 and five Level 2 coaches with a team of support coaches. All coaches have current DBS (Data Barring System) checks and are First Aid qualified.
The coaching comprises learning the basic skills of cricket batting, bowling and fielding in a fun, safe and enjoyable environment. We have excellent facilities, three artificial nets an artificial wicket and loads of space for all.
The club enter junior teams into the Herefordshire Junior Cricket League at Under 9, 11, 13 and 15 level.
