Making his debut in Rajkot's third Test, wicketkeeper-batsman Jurel showcased his potential with a solid 46 in the first innings.

In the subsequent fourth Test in Ranchi, he demonstrated remarkable composure, rescuing India from precarious situations on two occasions.

His innings of 90 in the first innings helped India recover from 177-7 to reach 307, and his unbeaten 39 in the same match proved pivotal in securing victory.

Despite facing a hat-trick ball when he came to bat at 120-5 chasing 192, the 23-year-old remained composed, thwarting England's spinners alongside Shubman Gill to steer India to a five-wicket triumph.

Captain Rohit Sharma lauded his display, highlighting his composure and maturity under pressure.
