Harry Brook may just be six matches into his Test career, but pundits cannot stop waxing lyrical about the prodigy from Yorkshire.

In fact, Harry Brook scored more runs in his first nine Test innings than anyone else. Yes, you read that right -- more runs than even Don Bradman. After nine innings, Brook stood at 809 runs which is more than both Bradman and previous record holder Vinod Kambli (796).

Brook also surpassed legends like Herbert Sutcliffe (780 runs in nine innings), Sunil Gavaskar (778 runs in nine innings) and Everton Weekes (777 runs in nine innings), which is some club to be part of.

Despite his duck in the second innings in Wellington, Brook currently averages over 80 in Test cricket. After his heroics in the first innings, he briefly held an average of 100.88. Only Gavaskar (129.66) had a better Test average than the English youngster after nine Test innings.

Bradman comparisons aside, Brook is certainly the best batter to come out of England since Joe Root.

One is left scratching his head as to how Jonny Bairstow will come back into this England Test side. And this is when he was their best batter before his freak injury just before the T20 World Cup.

The best part about Harry Brook is that unlike somebody such as Marnus Labuschagne, he has already shown that he is an all-condition batter and can be equally effective on green tops and slow turners.
