Although Ravindra Jadeja ended up with much more impressive figures than his accomplice, Ravichandran Ashwin was the one who changed the flow of the game more than once in the second Test match between India and Australia.

After putting 263 runs on the board and reducing India to 139/6, Australia were on top in the Delhi Test match, but as the wheel turned rapidly, the visitors suffered another comprehensive defeat at the hands of India by six wickets and conceded the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with two matches still to go.

Ravindra rightfully finished as the Player of the Match once again with a match haul of 10 wickets including his best-ever figures of 7/42 which came in Australia's second innings.

That said, Ravichandran Ashwin deserves a lot of credit for India's victory as he was the one who was the real circuit breaker in the match.

If not for anything else, he dismissed Steve Smith in both the innings which is the lion's share of the Australian batting along with Marnus Labuschagne.

Ashwin took three wickets each in both innings apart from being part of the match-defining 100+ run partnership for the 8th wicket with Axar Patel which helped India claw their way back into the match.

The offie sent back Marnus Labuschagne in the first innings when the batter was looking good for at least a half-century. Ashwin was the one who brought India their first wicket of day three, removing the dangerous Travis Head and opening the floodgates.
