The IPL trophy may have eluded him but Rajasthan Royals prolific opener Jos Buttler made sure to lay his hands on almost every other trophy that was up for grabs.

With 863 runs from 17 matches at an average of 57.53 and a strike rate of 149.05, four centuries and four half-centuries, with the help of 83 boundaries and 45 sixes, Jos Buttler brought an end to his blockbuster IPL season.

He not only finished with the Orange cap, making the most number of runs in IPL 2022 apart from hitting the most number of boundaries and notching up the most number of centuries but also became the second-highest run-scorer in a season in IPL history.

Buttler overtook David Warner's record of 848 runs in IPL 2016. Only Virat Kohli with 973 runs sits ahead of the England wicketkeeper batsman.

Butler was quite circumspect to swing for the hills early on, with wickets falling around him, in the IPL 2022 final between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals.

At 39 off 34 deliveries, he was looking set to up the ante when he got dismissed by Hardik Pandya. The big night may not have turned out as per Buttler's expectations but he certainly played a major role in taking Rajasthan Royals to only their second final in IPL history.

England will now hope that Buttler carries on with his T20 form, with the 2022 T20 World Cup already in sight.
