Cricket World Player of the Week - Matthew Breetzke, South Africa

Matthew Breetzke set a new record for the highest score on ODI debut, smashing 150 to lift South Africa to 304-6 against New Zealand in the tri-series.
His knock, featuring 11 fours and five sixes, surpassed Desmond Haynes' 148 from 1978.
Despite Breetzke’s heroics, Kane Williamson’s unbeaten 133 guided New Zealand to a six-wicket win in Lahore, securing a spot in the final. Devon Conway (97) and Williamson shared a 187-run stand, ensuring the chase was completed in 48.4 overs.
South Africa, fielding four debutants due to injuries and domestic T20 commitments, will face Pakistan on Wednesday to determine New Zealand’s opponent in the final.
