Cricket World Player of the Week - Reeza Hendricks

Reeza Hendricks struck half-centuries in all the three matches of the T20I series between England and South Africa to take his team to a 2-1 victory.
Hendricks finished the series as the highest run-scorer with 180 runs from 3 innings at an average of 60 and a strike rate of 156. He had a best of 70 which came in the final match of the series. The opener struck 21 boundaries and 3 sixes against England.
It was a golden opportunity for Hendricks in the absence of regular opener and South Africa's white-ball captain Temba Bavuma, who is missing the England tour due to injury.
With more and more pressure mounting on him after the opener failed to take his chances in South Africa's last T20I series against India and dynamic batters like Rilee Rossouw and Tristan Stubbs pushing their case for a place in the playing XI, it was essential for Hendricks to have a successful series, and that is exactly what he was able to deliver.
The South African opener struck 70 off 50 deliveries in the series decider on a surface which was assisting the spinners quite a lot.
It was courtesy of his knock that South Africa were successful in posting 191 runs on the board and eventually won the match by a massive margin of 90 runs to take the series.
Reeza Hendricks was awarded the Player of the Series for his brilliant performances throughout the three matches.

Another brilliant day in the field, with Tabraiz Shamsi grabbing a maiden T20I 5-wicket haul, backed up Reeza Hendricks' 70 and Markram's 51* - as England are dismissed for 101! The #Proteas secure the series 2-1!#ENGvSA #BePartOfIt pic.twitter.com/sqmcQeL8X8
