England vs Bangladesh, Match 6, ICC Men's World Cup Warm-Up: England warm-up in fine style with strong win

England sounded a huge warning to other teams ahead of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup with a strong four-wicket win over Bangladesh at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Monday.
Bangladesh opted to bat and put on 188 for nine in their allotted 37 overs and in their response England finished on 197 for six in 24.1 overs.
Bangladesh was struggling at 26 for two. It required a 52 run third wicket stand between Taniz Tamim (45) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (74: 89b, 10x4) to put the innings back on track. There was a rain break after 30 overs in the innings. After a prolonged delay, the play resumed with the match being reduced to 37 overs a side. Bangladesh's innings finished on 188 for nine in 37 overs. For England the best bowlers were Reece Topley (3-23), David Willey (2-26) and Adil Rashid (2-27).
In their response, England rode on a 42 run second wicket stand between Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root. Then the innings went on an overdrive. Harry Brook and skipper Jos Buttler also weighed in with quickfire knocks. Then Moeen Ali teamed uip with Joe Root to add 79 runs for the sixth wicket. Ali made 56 off 39 balls with two boundaries and six sixes. Root finished unbeaten on 26 off 40 balls with one boundary. For Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman (2-23). England overhauled the target in 24.1 overs to finish on 197 for six.
