Delhi Capitals registered their second consecutive win of IPL 2025 as they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in the tenth game of the league by seven wickets at the Dr YSR ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. Asked to bat, Hyderabad got all out for 163, in response Delhi chased the target with four overs and seven wickets to spare.

Hyderabad had the worst possible start to their innings as Abhishek Sharma got run out in the first over. And after that, it was all about Mitchell Starc. The Delhi pacer removed Ishan Kishan, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Travis Head (22:12b, 4x4), leaving Hyderabad tottering at 37 for four. It was then that Heinrich Klaasen (32:19b, 2x4, 2x6) and Aniket Verma (74:41b, 5x4, 6x6) counter-attacked, adding 77 runs for the fifth wicket. But after their fall, Hyderabad failed to finish on a high and got all out for just 163. Starc was the pick of the bowlers as he bagged a fifer.

Faf du Plessis (50:27b, 3x3, 3x6) and Jake Fraser-McGurk (38:32b, 4x4, 2x6) took Delhi off to a flying start. The duo added 81 runs for the first wicket as they didn't let Hyderabad bowlers take the lead at all. Abishek Porel (34 not out:18b, 2x4, 2x6), at three, played a brilliant hand with crucial support from KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs (21 not out:14b, 3x4). Thanks to the collective effort, Delhi chased the target down with seven wickets in hand.
