Pitch Report

Traditionally Jaipur has a bit in it for the bowlers- it can be a bit spicy early- but, like a lot of Indian grounds, it’s certainly no minefield.  There is a chase bias here though, dew can come down in the evenings and in the last game RCB made light work of RR’s 173/4.  They knocked off the runs with 21 balls to spare, 1 down.  After Salt’s pyrotechnics at the top of the order burned out he left Kohli to finish the job- who did so whilst getting his absolute favourite thing- an unbeaten 50.  You want to bowl first, then.

Batting Stats T20

Jaiswal loves a Maximum

Jaiswal has the most sixes for RR this season with 13.  He’s also in really good form, with three 50+ scores in his last four innings.  He smashed 4 maximums last time (most in the match), 2 the game before (joint-most for Raj) and plundered another 5 against Punjab (most in the match).  With Samson a major doubt for this one after picking up what looked like a rib injury in the last game, one of Jaiswal’s main 6-hitting rivals probably won’t be there.  He should be favourite for RR most sixes then, surely?  Bet365 go 6.00 Jaiswal most RR sixes and it’s value.  We wouldn’t put you off their 11.00 for player most sixes in the match, either.

Nicky P is a Run Machine- but don’t forget the Catches

Performance Points is a consistently interesting market for us as we’re always sniffing around for value.  Nicholas Pooran is obviously in great form and is the current Orange Cap Holder with 357 runs in 7 innings, striking at a frankly ridiculous 208.77.  If you’d have just backed over his runs line in every game you’d have won 5 out of 7, and it’s by no means a daft bet to just do that again.  But the angle here is that he’s getting lots of catches.  A ‘keeper for most of the teams he plays for, Nicky P has a safe pair of hands and as a result fields in high traffic areas.  He’s already picked up 6 catches in IPL2025 (that’s 60 points) so with that going for us a line of 28.5 for his points (Bet365) looks crazy low.

Most 6's T20

Nicky P is also the Best Player in the IPL

For fear of sounding like a broken record, Pooran really is very good.  He’s hit 11 more sixes than anyone else across the 7 matches so far- 31 in 7 games really is going some.  Smashing his runs at over 2 a ball means that if Pooran does get a decent score, it’s always eye-catching.  With the game pretty much a coin flip, Pooran is definitely the most likely player on either side to scoop the Man of the Match award here.  Skybet go 10.00 Nicky P MOTM and it’s a bet.

Rajasthan go harder earlier

Markram faces up for Lucknow and he’s been having a look early.  LSG’s first over scores- 7, 3, 3, 6, 3, 6, 6.  Rajasthan’s?  16, 9, 9, 10, 9, 6, 2.  Jaiswal is actually the best “first ball” scorer in cricket history.  He’s hit the first ball of an innings for 6 an astonishing three times in his t20 career and has got a four first ball another ten times.  We know he goes after it and we are less convinced with Marsh & Markram.  With Jofra- the best first over bowler in the competition, backing him up, we’d make Rajasthan pretty strong favourites to have the highest first over.  Lucknow will probably open up with leaky old Shardul again- he got 0/56 from his four last time. Skybet go 2.1 Rajasthan have the highest 1st over, so we’re on.
