Afghanistan, opting to bat first, struggled to build partnerships and were bowled out for just 123 runs in 35.4 overs. Faisal Shinozada top-scored with 52, while Santosh Yadav and Unish Thakuri shared the most wickets, taking three each.

In response, Nepal had a shaky start, losing key wickets early. Aakash Tripathi, Mayan Yadav, and others couldn’t stay long at the crease, leaving Nepal at 31/3. However, a gritty 22* from Hemant Dhami and 26 from Naren Saud provided a solid base, as they chased down the target in 41.3 overs.
