Starting June 4, the Netherlands cricket team, led by national coach Ryan Cook, is set to compete in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place across the United States and the West Indies.

A total of twenty teams will play 55 matches in seven Caribbean countries and three cities in the United States.  

The Dutch national men’s team will play its four group matches at four different locations.
The fixtures are as follows:

4 June                  Nepal, Dallas, start 17.30 CET
8 June                  South Africa, New York, 16.30 CET
13 June                Bangladesh, Kingstown, St Vincent and the Grenadines, 16.30 CET
17 June                Sri Lanka, Gros Islet, St. Lucia, 02.30 CET.

All numbers 1 and 2 of the four groups qualify for the next phase, the Super Eight.
After this phase, there will be semi-finals and a final.

Fred Klaassen (Kent CCC, back issues) and Daniel Doram (Leeward Islands, broken hand) will not be travelling to the USA due to injuries. They will be replaced by legspinner Saqib Zulfiqar and right arm pacer Kyle Klein (who was travelling reserve). Kyle’s brother Ryan will now be travelling reserve.

NORDEK T20 TriSeries
The penultimate part of the T20 World Cup preparation of the Dutch men’s team was the NORDEK T20I TriSeries which was concluded on Friday May 24, with Ireland, Scotland and The Netherlands participating.

The Netherlands will play two official warm-up matches in the United States prior to the T20 World Cup.
