Asked to bat, Rajasthan posted 172 for eight, in response, Rajasthan chased the target inside 19 overs.

Bengaluru had a decent start to their innings as Faf du Plessis (17:14b, 2x4, 1x6) and Virat Kohli (33:24b, 3x4, 1x6) added 37 runs for the opening partnership. Cameron Green (27:21b, 2x4, 1x6) walked out to bat at number three and played a decent innings.

Green along with Rajat Patidar (34:22b, 2x4, 2x6) added 41 runs for the third wicket but after that, Bengaluru came under immense pressure as they lost wickets quick succession and were reeling at 122 for five.

Mahipal Lomror (32:17b, 2x4, 2x6) in the end came up with a vital hand as Royal Challengers Bengaluru ended with a total of 172 for eight. For Rajasthan, Avesh Khan picked three wickets whereas Ravichandran Ashwin also bagged two wickets.

Chasing the target, Rajasthan were off to a great start as well. Tom Kohler-Cadmore (20:15b, 4x4) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (45:30b, 8x4) batted well at the top and added 46 runs for the opening stand.

Sanju Samson (17:13b, 1x6) had a start but failed to get going as Rajasthan lost wickets in the middle and were under pressure. However, Riyan Parag (36:26b, 2x4. 2x6) held the fort for his team and continued his brilliant form with the bat and took his team close.

Shimron Hetmyer (26:14b, 3x4, 1x6) hit some lusty blows as Rajasthan were cruising towards the win. Rajasthan lost two quick wickets but it was Rovman Powell (16 not out:8b, 2x4, 1x6) who took his team home with four wickets.
