King currently stands at the second place in the list of the top wicket-takers in the Women's Hundred with six scalps from four matches at an economy rate of 3.75.

Alana King made a sensational debut for the Trent Rockets in the Women's Hundred as she claimed the first-ever hat-trick of the competition.

The Australian leg spinner became the first bowler to pick up a hat-trick in the Women's 100-ball competition as she made a brilliant all-round debut for Trent Rockets.

King has had a sensational few months. After making the Australian side for the 50-over World Cup which went on to win the competition, the 26-year-old won a home Ashes series and recently won a gold medal in the Commonwealth Games.

The leg spinner could have easily had another hat-trick in the CWG 2022 had captain Meg Lanning not dropped a catch.

The bowler continued her good form with figures of 4 for 15 off 20 deliveries, including a hat-trick, on her Hundred debut. She also scored 19 off just nine deliveries and took a sensational catch to help Trent Rockets register a 43-run win against Manchester Originals at the Old Trafford.

Having idolised the great late Shane Warne as a young girl while learning the tricks of the trade, King dedicated her hat-trick to her childhood hero who in fact bowled the ball of the century in 1993 at the same venue.
