Cricket World Player of the Week - Fakhar Zaman

Lahore Qalandars opener Fakhar Zaman notched up the first century of Pakistan Super League, 2022 with a scintillating 60-ball 106.

The hard-hitting batsman took his team to their first victory of this edition of the Pakistan Super League.

It wasn't an easy chase with Karachi Kings setting Qalandars a target of 171 on the back of good knocks from Sharjeel Khan and Babar Azam.

However, Zaman made short work of the target, smashing 106 off just 60 deliveries with the help of 12 boundaries and 4 sixes, going at a strike rate of 176.67.

Lahore Qalandars chased down the target with four balls to spare and gained two crucial points. They now have one victory and one loss from their two matches of the group stage of the Pakistan Super League, 2022.

As a result, Zaman has climbed to the top of the run-scoring charts with 182 runs from two matches, including one century and one half-century. He has gone at a strike rate of 191.57 and has already smashed 23 boundaries and 6 sixes in the competition.

After a dip in form, Fakhar Zaman looks to be getting back to his best. He recently played a couple of impactful knocks in the 2021 T20 World Cup and has now kicked off this edition of the PSL with a bang.
