Cricket World Player of the Week - Harry Brook

Player of the Match in the 2nd Pakistan vs England Test, Harry Brook arrives at the scene perhaps as the biggest batting prodigy from England since Joe Root.
Listen to Ben Stokes waxing lyrical about Harry Brook and you can't help but lift the batter a few notches in your estimation as well.
“Harry had the summer he had last year and had all the big ups before he made his debut at the end of the summer. To come here and put in that performance again is just phenomenal. He is one of those rare players where you look across all formats and you can just see him being successful anywhere. Massive shout but Virat Kohli is one of those guys where his technique is just so simple it works everywhere,” Stokes said about Brook.
Brook did not have the best of games on Test debut, but has shown in the two matches in Pakistan that he certainly belongs at this level.
His 108 off 149 balls in England's second innings in Multan was quite simply the difference between the series going level at 1-1 and England eking out a narrow 26-run win.
It will tough for him to hold on to his spot once Jonny Bairstow returns and if Ben Foakes takes the gloves back, but at the moment he looks England's most fluent batter at the crease, and that is some compliment when you bat in the same line-up as Joe Root.
