Cricket World's Player of the Week - Georgia Plimmer, New Zealand Women

Georgia Plimmer scored her maiden century to see New Zealand to a comfortable 2-0 win in the ODI series vs Sri Lanka Women.

She faced 120 balls on her way to 112, hammering 8 x 4s and 2 x 6s, and putting the game out of reach of Sri Lanka as New Zealand bowlers then skittled them for 182.

Plimmer's innings was built on a solid partnership with Suzie Bates, who contributed a valuable 53 runs. The pair set the tone early, combining patience with calculated aggression to ensure New Zealand had a firm platform.

On the bowling front, New Zealand's attack ensured Plimmer's hard work was backed up. Jess Kerr and Fran Jonas each claimed three wickets, restricting Sri Lanka to 182 runs and securing a convincing 98-run victory.
