India v Netherlands, Match 9, ICC Men's World Cup Warm-Up: India heads into World Cup without any play

India's second World Cup warm-up match against the Netherlands suffered the same fate as their first, as incessant rain at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday forced the game to be abandoned without a single ball being bowled.
Unfortunately, the hosts' earlier warm-up match against England in Guwahati met a similar weather-induced demise last week. Remarkably, India is the only team heading into the World Cup without having had the opportunity to bat or bowl in any of their warm-up matches. India is scheduled to kick off their World Cup campaign against Australia in Chennai this coming Sunday.
