Player of the Week - Hayley Matthews, West Indies Women

West Indies Women clinched the fifth T20I by eight wickets on the back of yet another match-winning knock by skipper Hayley Matthews, winning the series with a 4-1 margin on Friday at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi.
Matthews was then joined by Shemaine Campbelle (33 not out, 35b, 2x4s) on the crease as the duo forged a 103-run second-wicket partnership. Over the course of her innings, Matthews brought up her third half-century (78, 59b, 11x4s) of the series before falling prey to Nashra Sundhu.
Her all round performance in the 2nd T20I was yet another match winning performance as she returned figures of 4-0-25-3 to limit Pakistan to 121 for seven, then scored a 43-ball 58 with 10 fours as the West Indies achieved the target with 10 balls to spare.
The outstanding all-round performance earned Matthews her third Player of the Match award, after she had picked up two awards in the ODI series, also earning her the Player of the ODI Series award.
Unbelievably she turned up again in the 3rd T20I, Matthews’ fairytale run in the series continued when she first top-scored for the West Indies and then orchestrated the Pakistan batting collapse.
Matthews scored 68 runs from 49 balls with 10 fours and put on 89 runs from 72 balls for the second wicket with Shemaine Campbelle (31) as the West Indies reached 132 for five in 20 overs.
In turn, she combined with Afy Fletcher to restrict Pakistan to 130 for eight.
