Multan Sultans' captain Mohammad Rizwan has been in the form of his life for almost two years now.

The Pakistan wicket-keeper batter opened the batting for Multan Sultans in the 13th match of the ongoing Pakistan Super League, 2022 and smashed a brilliant 82 off just 53 deliveries with the help of 8 boundaries and one six, going at a strike rate of 154.72.

If there was any criticism about Rizwan making a lot of runs but batting a little slowly, the critics have eggs on their faces now, with Rizwan showing the capability of accelerating as per the demand of the situation time and again.

The opener has batted at a strike rate of close to 140 in PSL 7. Especially, when the talented batsman can score 215 runs for 5 matches at an average of well over 50, this strike rate is nothing short of gold dust.

It has been due to Rizwan's heroics and his impressive opening partnership with Shan Masood, another leading run-scorer in the competition, that Multan Sultans sit comfortably at the top of the leaderboard with victories from all their five matches and are major contenders for the title this year.

Not only with the bat, but the way in which Rizwan has kept wickets and led his team has also been inspirational. The calm that he has shown on the field has certainly rubbed off onto his players.
