Cricket World's Player of the Week - Rohit Sharma, India

India secured their spot in the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 by defeating Australia, thanks to a brilliant 92-run performance by Rohit Sharma.

Asked to bat first, India posted an impressive total of 205 for five. In response, Australia finished at 181 for seven.

India didn't get off to the ideal start, as Virat Kohli's struggles continued with a duck.

However, captain Rohit Sharma (92 off 41 balls, including 7 fours and 8 sixes) then took charge. He unleashed a flurry of powerful shots against the Australian bowlers, keeping India firmly in control of the game.

This latest knock is the third highest of this T20 World Cup iteration, and puts Rohit Sharma in 8th place for batsmen runs scored with 191.
